I’m taking on my most ambitious amigurumi yet, a very large Sensitive Dolly! It sort of happened by accident-I had been working on a sleeping bag for a doll and I had grown tired of working on it, so I stuffed it thinking that if it came out to be a funny shape I could always make a pig or some kind of monster. I was thinking from the way it looked unstuffed that I would end up with a fat cylinder. To my pleasant surprise, when I stuffed it, it came out to be a nice pink sphere! So when I saw the big sphere, I figured why not make the biggest amigurumi I’ve done so far since I already had the body finished. In general I think I tend to like working big and making big things. I feel like I have more flexibility, and can move around more, and can think more clearly. Making very small objects makes me feel more constricted and limited in terms of what I’m able to do.
Do you like working large? Or do you prefer making smaller things, and why?

Glad you found an alternate use after putting so much work in it. I have a wide range of work. Too small and I am too clumsy and things look awful (less forgiving in a constricted space). Too big and I am stumped by the white space.
